David J. Murphy and Sons is a local family owned and operated second generation, custom kitchen
and bath remodeling company with over 40-years in the renovation business. We take pride in
the high level of personal service and attention we can provide to our customers. Not only do
we build custom kitchen cabinets, but we also build custom bathroom vanities, entertainment
centers, wall units, and bookshelves to name a few.
We build, stain or paint, and finish everything on site at our shop in Framingham, Massachusetts where we have recently converted to a “green” water based spray system this is environmentally friendly.
Our custom kitchen cabinets and other projects are reasonably priced and our quality and
workmanship speaks for itself. At David J. Murphy and Sons, we put the same kind of
attention to detail into your kitchen or bath projects that we would put into our own homes.
Our kitchens are custom built in our shop and installed by our own people using the finest
materials and construction techniques. We build with 3/4” prefinished and unfinished plywood and
not MDF (medium density fiberboard). Our face frames, cabinet door frames, drawer fronts, and
moldings are all constructed with 3/4" solid wood. Many different door styles are available in both
raised and recessed panels. Our adjustable shelves are also made out of 3/4" plywood and have
a solid 1-3/8” solid wood nosing applied. Cabinet doors can be either flush inset or overlay with
either concealed or visible hinges. Our dovetail drawers are installed on full extension, slow close
undermount drawer slides.
We can general contract a project and provide a plumber, electrician, plasterer, floor installer,
and/or tile installer if needed. We tile bathroom walls, floors, showers, and or backsplashes
ourselves. Projects run on time and on budget with extreme attention to detail, superior
workmanship, and true craftsmanship that exceed expectations in creating dream kitchens and
bathrooms.
